Mission: Improbable is a 3D animated action/sci-fi short produced by four students from the American University in Dubai (United Arab Emirates)...
My name is Ahmad Jadallah and I am the director/producer on this film and the upcoming one as well. I am studying in the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology program.
3D animation production is not popular in the Middle East in general due to high cost and lack of expertise. And we are planning to change this by finding a new generation that loves 3D and will take it as a career path. I have been working on 3D Studio since version 4 on Dos and kept upgrading till version 7. Mission: Improbable Click here to watch the trailer. Notes: * Character Models (without animation) are from the geo-metric games pack. We prefered using low-poly game models because of render times on our humble machines and because we are currently producing a first person shooter game based on the movie. So we can use them in both. But every thing else is modeled by us. * Music is a mix of different movie soundtracks. But all of them are composed by Mr.Bill Brown, we are not sending this movie to festivals nor we are making profits out of it in any way in respect for copyright issues. * The movie is generally an animation/directing/special effects/scene design experience for the team members since this is our first production. * Production was done on MAX 6 and Character studio 4. Default scan-line renderer on a render farm of 8 nodes. 7 Months from concept to completion.
