We published third Materials Pack - October 2005. This package is very special as it contains 47 free materials made by single author, our dear member BindyEye. You can easily install and uninstall these materials with only few mouse clicks. Special thanks goes to the author and invitation to others - keep submiting your materials, and get noticed!

MATERIALS-SECTION

Normally you download textures, or you take your digital camera, go out and take some photos. When you have all of your pictures you start your copy of 3dsmax and put them together to some cool looking material. This takes a lot of time, and beginners in 3dsmax often have troubles to do it right, and they often forget that placing a bitmap in the diffuse slot is far away from being enough to get a good looking material. That is the reason why we have created the material-section.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could use all those materials ever made by anyone?

We think YES, and that is the reason why we bring you this 2nd package of materials that includes a .mat file and all the textures you need.

And the best thing is: The whole package can easily be installed and uninstalled as we post the various packages as .exe files.

All you have to do is to tell the little program where your copy of 3dsmax is installed. The rest is done automatically (works with max6 and max7; others were not tested yet). Cool, isn’t it?

As said before, we are planning to post a monthly package. Problem is that we can’t do the whole work on his own. That’s the reason why we ask YOU to submit some of your materials and help us to help you.
