As many of you know, back in the old days of 3DKingdom.org we ran a *nuke CMS that wasn't very flexible and upgradable, so we were limited to what the CMS offered. A lot of times I felt that the only thing at which it was good was breaking, and it certainly did break a lot.

This version you're currently browsing was written from scratch by yours truly, and I've tried to make it rock-solid, fast, and extendable. Since this is only the first public beta that means that there are things that don't work, things that sort of work but not really, and things that do work, but in a stupid way.

This is where you come in. We want this site to be your site, so we want to know what you want this site to be. When considering these suggestions we'll look at the interest and how long they take to implement.

So, whether you'd like to see the font changed in one section, or whether you'd like to see a whole new module added on (groups anyone?), please let us know below.

Don't use this for bug reports though, those go here.

To do in no particular order:
- Watch topic
- Attachments for forums
- 3DKoins (karma/awards system)
- Posting redirect

Finished:
Jan 2 - Who's online
Jan 2 - BBCode extended to allow for img tags
Jan 1 - Edit forum post
Yay its finally back, booya...

Hows it goin Hp, glad to see it up and running pretty well...

2 things...

1, when u tab between textboxes, 1 tab selects the next box kind of, instead of putting your cursor in it. not sure if thats intentional, or if it just happened that way, but its kind of disorienting.

and 2, bring back the online users list, love that, gotta be able to see whos online..

thats it for now, Looks great...

p.s. Whens Slibe v2 gonna go online, been waiting for that too lol...
ok 2 more things,

firstly, the ability to edit your previous posts would be super...

and secondly, the option to stay logged, via a cookie or whatever...
w00rt w00rt

Its aliiiiive!! Lets hope its here to stay =)

And please ad the option to delete your own thread, caus that would be awesome.

And maybe a few stylish smileys instead of this standard crap 8):D:P:2guns::sos::tears::drink:

Greets,

Here are some suggestions (some have been mentioned by other members)
1) Edit, delete posts
2) Watch topic
3) Some data about members like Date registered, number of posts, 'reputation' etc.
4) Attachments
5) Quick reply (for people who are having 'slow' internet connection like me, its good that we can reply a topic/post without having to reload the whole page.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Thanks :)
Another suggestion :
Search for posts/topics in the forum. I tried to search with the searchbox on the upper-right side with the word 'windmill', it just shows 1 result, which is a gallery image and my topic 'WIP Windmill' doesn't show (maybe the search index haven't been updated?) Is that searchbox used to search just the CMS of the site (without forum) or it searches the whole site?

Thanks :)

:P seriously though, love the site, i was just wondering if you might be having some darker themes on the way or if they're already here and i just haven't found them? i was thinking something like original 3Dk was, dark green-ish grays.

Definatly the ability to use tags... this is a 3d site, the ability to post pics would probably be helpful lol...

I definitely agree with the rep system, where people can get repped or negged, but rep-abusing may pose as a problem, so we would all have to make sure that something like that doesn't get out of hand. I think we need a rep system though, it would deem useful in my opinion.

I think we should be able to edit our usernames, this one "Necksmasher" was made up when I was about 13..lol. It sounds so unprofessional, and I don't know what to do :tears: lol..

But anyway, I think we need a much stricter 3D gallery, like the old 3DK had, no more letting 9/10 submissions make it in. We also need a very active group of people to run the forums and maintain the integrity and professionalism. We also need a 3DK newsletter (do ya'll even have one of those?..I can't quite remember), and do alot for the CG community (ie: interviews, good tutorials, product reviews, major art competitions, etc.).
