Best program for painting on models

    Deep Paint, Body Paint and Zbrush claim that you can paint directly on models, and you can but with limitations and a steep learning curve. Are there any new programs that look promising?

    just to add it to your list, I believe mudbox has this feature and is a little more 'max user' friendly in general.

    i know, that this topic is kinda old, but i will write something anyway!
    i was searching for such a tool too, and downloaded the 30 trial of zbrush. they offer plenty of free video tutorials, which makes the learning quite easy. i was able to do it in the 30 days. so no steep learning curve! just try it!:D
