    Greetings lords and ladies,
Its saturday morning and I am bored to hell. So I decided to start a topic on the old 3dk; just for fun.
3dk is down for about a year now (and it is still down in my humble opinion), but I am curious how much has survived from the old spirit and members.

At the moment I visit this site rarely because of some things that are well known: no picture attachment, no updates, no admins (damn I am admin as well...).. Ok I do not want to recapitulate everything that has been said in an other topic.
I think that lots of people miss the old 3dk and want to have a strong community to discuss things on and off topic, just to waste time, like I do now...

As said before.. 3dk is down for about a year... but lots of things happend in this year..
So, the idea is: I will post some of my works from the past year in this topic (and i have done a lot - some people know that I do some anims for public television) and I hope to see some works from you as well; just screenshots, or even photos from your holidays or whatever. Just to get something to talk about ;)

    Alright to get started:
Here is a link to an animation I did in the last year:
The link is low qualitiy but it was rendered in HD:

    http://www.dlr.de/tsx/animations/2007-06_TSX-Hochwasser_Web.wmv (3.05mb)

And a question: How can I add pictures to my post?

Hope to see some of the old members pop up in this forum, to talk about the old times, and perhaps the future.
And I hope to see some new faces as well ;)

    Enough for know....
    To be continued

    Cheers Eumel3d

BTW: was in danmark on holiday last year ;) .. It was a bit boring as well.. no young people there :)
Well, in my opinion, lots of hard work need to be done to 'revive' 3dk. As you can see, the news has not been updated since about a month ago, and there doesn't seem to be any 'tutorial writers' hired. Personally, I don't think that 3dk will become as popular as 3dkingdom.org, and it also can't 'replace' 3dkingdom.org.

Just look at the 'Sister sites' section, http://divaguer.com/ and http://ohardware.com/ are not working, and don't forget about CGBuzz as well (now closed down). Seems like most of the 'sister sites' are getting closed down....and I hope 3dk will not be the next on the 'list'.

    Thanks.

Note : another bug found....I had opened the 'reply thread' window for about an hour and when I pressed 'reply', it needs me to login again and after I've done that, a new thread appeared instead of new post in this thread :
