Is it possible to use 3ds max 9 to design a fan or propeller for maximum efficiency for real world usage.
eg. the bigger angle of pitch the more air it will move.
The model of the fan must be able to move the air in 3ds Max. depending on the speed and the pitch.
Any info. will be highly regarded.

You have a good question, 3dsmax isn't really there to model physics. However, you might be able to concoct something with scripting and using reactor.
Also alot of it can be done if your KNOW the physics already involved. Viscosity of water, force against etc...

Thanx for the reply Lantzvillian
Concocting will not realy work and I don't know enough about scripting.
Do you know of a program that I can use?
The idea is to design a full scale windtunnel on computer before building it. It will be much more cost effective (and time effective) if I can do a design on computer than to build, and rebuild scale models.
Tanx again.

Lookup the tutorials in 3dsmax. I seem to remember that there was fluid dynamics. If not there might be plugins that can do what you want.
Also, if you know the scale of size your props will be increasing and their rpms it would be easy to model/animate.
