Nice works. They deserve better than 'Beginner's work'. I like the 'Lego' model, but it can be improved with better materials and a little bit more details. Not bad, keep it up ;)

Thanks.

(It's going to be a lego robotic arm, for a 3d video I'm doing through F.I.R.S.T. robotics.)

Posted in: Beginners Area » Texturing F1 car

Hey whats up guys, im new around these parts of the internet.

Ive seen there are a lot of awesome cg artists around here and i thought i might interact with a few of them.

I am a beginner at 3DS max and id like to know how to texture my F1's wheels first and secondly adding sponsors logos to the car itself (i can add 1 but thats about it)

Also if you have C&C for my car model...fire away (just be gentle)

nice modeling, i agree the image needs a little more texture to the hair and poss a slight grain to the skin for realism , but shes a great model . nice job.

Posted in: Beginners Area » Texture

As Needy said, Chamfer the edges, thats one of the first things you should learn in 3d. NOTHING, EVER, has perfectly square edges... nothing, so always edit edges to get the most realism out of your models...

Second, textures from google, or websites, etc are ok, but to get the absolute best result, buy a camera and do EVERYTHING yourself... it adds so much to a scene to have 100% original textures.

Also, as also stated before, for something like that, you would need at LEAST 50 segments to make it look good.

Good luck learning, you've started very well :D

Tnx. But I think I owe an apology to all the staff of 3dKingdom for not knowing how to properly post a topic. My mistake. Please bear with me.
