Well, in my opinion, lots of hard work need to be done to 'revive' 3dk. As you can see, the news has not been updated since about a month ago, and there doesn't seem to be any 'tutorial writers' hired. Personally, I don't think that 3dk will become as popular as 3dkingdom.org, and it also can't 'replace' 3dkingdom.org.
Just look at the 'Sister sites' section,
http://divaguer.com/ and
http://ohardware.com/ are not working, and don't forget about CGBuzz as well (now closed down). Seems like most of the 'sister sites' are getting closed down....and I hope 3dk will not be the next on the 'list'.
