Gonzo machine is a character made for a short animation. I have modelled it with Modo, the details and normal maps are made using ZBrush, tham I have exported to Cinema 4D

ok thanks for the tutorials. Currently I am doing the first tutorial provided by you. As soon I finish that I will do the next one....

But what about the helmet, necklace and dress she is wearing..
And I didn't get side views of "LAXMI" I searched alot...........

Well hands or head there is not much difference. Its all done the same way... Important is, that you have good reference pictures. I found a good video-tutorial on how to create a head in 3dsmax (from photoshop-setup, to final result)

If you manage to create a head, you should also be able to do the rest of the body ;)

Thank you very much for the tutorial you provided.
Currently I am doing that tutorial. :D
But that is not enough for me to model "LAXMI". THe clothes and jewelleries are really very difficult part..........any tutorials for these.. :(

ANd the most comfusing part is to model four hands of Laxmi. I don't have any idea for that. I didn't get any tutorials for that too. SO please help me out.................

Hey there

you should forget about
texturing, lightining, compositing and rendering
for now ;)

I know some links to good video-tutorials about modeling but I have stored the bookmarks on another computer. I will post them for you as soon as I am at home.
To get started you should hunt for good reference pictures from different angles (front, side, back,...). I am sure that there are lots of pictures of "Laxmi" (?) on the net. ;)

hey thanks for the tutorials . :)
I have basic knowledge of 3dsmax
Well I have already done all of the free tutorials at 3dsmax 9 itself.
I have done most of the free tutorials provided here and cgtutorials.
And I can model a head.
I have already modelled my own face.
But I haved tried so hard to model my body but I can't. I mean sometime it gets messy someting it looks like alien etc. And texturing, lightining, compositing and redendering are also difficult for me.....
I tried to model a car reading the tutorials provided here but it was really very hard. I was not able to complete........
Are there any collection of video tutorials in DVDs or books so that I can buy.
So eumel3d please help me how should I start...............

Hey there,
Why dont you read some tutorials about modeling and try to do the challenge on your own?
There are lots of great tutorial sites out there
(www.cgtutorials.com) that can give you a good start.
A model like this is not that difficult to do.
If you follow this tutorial:
http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.asp /> you should be able to model your "Laxmi" without further help.
Sure I can help you if you run into any problems while modeling or texturing, but I wont do the whole thing for you.

But, my first question: which is your 3d-modeling-pack?

And: if you have never modeled before, you should perhaps start with something easier, not human; as organic things are quite a challenge, to make them look good. :)

I need a hindu godess 3dmodel. WHich should look as realistic as other real things. Please help me out

You all guys out there are awesome in modeling and all.
I have seen many artists modeling furniture, room etc etc and many are interested in modeling hot womens....

But I have never seen any one trying any one of the fascinating hindu gods or goddess. THere are thousands of gods and goddess. Why not trying "Laxmi" the godess of wealth and beauty.
