I hope we can choose our time zone that will show the correct time for the posts, submissions etc. Now the time for the replies are 'messed up' for some of us. @Necksmasher : If I had not mistaken, there is no 'monthly magazine' in 3dk (or maybe there is before I join) Thanks  |

I will change the textures on another update. As for the 'fan', actually I also feel that it's a bit too 'simple', but I can't find any close look of it....if any of you can give me a reference picture, I will greatly appreciate it Thanks and have a nice day |

Posted in: Work in progress (WIP) » WIP WindmillWell, let's see, considering that the bottom of the windmill has moss growing over it almost up to half the height of the door, the rest of it looks too "brand new" maybe if you could hadd some darkening "rotting" to the wood, and, for the lack of a better word, defile the fan (is that what it's called?) because it's also too flawless. Mrcool is right, give it a older look, other that that it looks really cool, keep it up and post more updates.  |

Posted in: 3DK Discussion » SuggestionsHere are some suggestions (some have been mentioned by other members) I definitely agree with the rep system, where people can get repped or negged, but rep-abusing may pose as a problem, so we would all have to make sure that something like that doesn't get out of hand. I think we need a rep system though, it would deem useful in my opinion. I think we should be able to edit our usernames, this one "Necksmasher" was made up when I was about 13..lol. It sounds so unprofessional, and I don't know what to do  lol..But anyway, I think we need a much stricter 3D gallery, like the old 3DK had, no more letting 9/10 submissions make it in. We also need a very active group of people to run the forums and maintain the integrity and professionalism. We also need a 3DK newsletter (do ya'll even have one of those?..I can't quite remember), and do alot for the CG community (ie: interviews, good tutorials, product reviews, major art competitions, etc.). |

Posted in: Beginners Area » Texture Hi guys, I'm kinda n00wb in 3ds Max and i want to make a poker chip...Well i've done that, but then when i want to place a texture on my Cylinder the texture appears on the side of the chip not on top of it.
